1. What is the age limit for admissions into Sree Narayana Mission Senior Secondary School (SNMSSS)?

As per new NEP guidelines to be eligible for admission for 2022-23, the child must fulfill the age limit specified below:

  • For PRE KG the child must have completed 3 years by 31st March 2023
  • For LKG the child must have completed 4 years by 31st March  2023
  • For UKG the child must have completed 5 years by 31st March 2023.

For admission to other Classes, the child should have successfully completed the   previous level of study

2. Is SNMSSS affiliated to any educational body in India and overseas?

SNMSSS at West Mambalam, T. Nagar is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), India.

3. What schooling options are offered at Sree Narayana Mission Senior Secondary School, Chennai?

The school offers classes from Kindergarten to XII.

4. Where can one get the school brochure or Application form?

Parents can collect the same at the admission counter of the school office or through mail on request. The application from can also be downloaded from the website when it is uploaded during admission session.

5. What are the modes of paying the school fee?

School fee can be paid through the online Portal or it can be paid through cash or demand draft at School counter.

7. What are the language options offered by the school?

First Language: English
Class I till Class VIII: Tamil & Hindi is compulsory. II language option is available from IX onwards

Sanskrit is taught from class VI till class X.

8. Is there any preference for siblings in the admission process?

Yes, siblings get preferential admission, in compliance to the eligible age criteria based on the class applied for and admission is subject to vacancy at that point of time

9. Can a child seek admission during the middle of the academic session?

Intake of mid-year admissions for children who are relocating with their parents is based on the availability of vacancies in the respective class.

10. Mention the unique features that the school offer for the students.

Wi-Fi Enabled Learning Studios, Structured Reading Program, Integrated STEM Curriculum, Holistic Development through Sports. All of these activities are supported by well-trained faculties. Co-curricular activities at SNMSSS includes Music, Dance, Art programs like painting & craft, Silambam & Karate.  Community service, field trips and various other activities are conducted in school campus.

14. What is the criterion for admission to the school?

Admission is based on the performance in the Interaction/ Entrance exams. However, admission shall primarily depend on the availability of seats.

15. What is the course of study?

The school prepares students for All India Secondary School Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school has classes starting from PRE LKG. The medium of instructions is English for all Classed but school also lays an equal emphasis on regional language / Hindi too.

16. How are parents informed about the progress of their ward?

Parents are informed quarterly about their child’s progress at school. They can meet teachers on scheduled PTMs. We also have an application specially designed to keep the day-to-day activities updated with the guardians.

17. Does the school support professional development for the teachers to learn and apply 'best practices'?

SNMSSS feels it is important that a teacher should be always ready to learn new things and believes in the philosophy “Teacher is a lifelong Student”. 18. What is the purpose of the school diary?

The school diary is a tool of communication between the teachers and the parents. A lot of information is available in the school diary and parents are requested to check it regularly for school events, announcements, celebrations, assessments, holidays etc.,
